Organisations involved
The BPCPS Rating System was launched by global non-profit organizations Forum for the Future (Forum) and The Sustainability Consortium (TSC), in collaboration with stakeholders including retailers, suppliers, and NGOs associated with the beauty and personal care product industry.

How does it work?
The PDF is available online and includes a series of questions relating to company-level activities for which multiple-choice answers are offered with an associated scoring system. Users can answer the questions and determine their company’s own score.

It consists of 32 Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that have been grouped into 4 thematic clusters (Packaging, Disclosure, Human Health, and Supply Chain and the Environment).

This system can be used by retailers to differentiate a wide range of products in the beauty and personal care space and can be used as a resource for manufacturers.
